Dr. Mark Ratner has been announced as one of the Exclusive Registry Network’s Top 101 Professionals of 2018. Professionals selected for such an honor have been determined by factors such as lifetime and career accomplishments, prominence in their respective fields, and commitment to excellence.

Since witnessing the launch of Sputnik, Dr. Ratner has devoted himself to the world of science. Graduating from Harvard University, Northwestern University, and performing postdoctoral work in Denmark, Dr. Ratner has shown passion and commitment to his work. Since 1980, Dr. Ratner has served in multiple positions at Northwestern University, including associate dean, Chemistry department chair, and Professor Emeritus. Over the course of his career, Dr. Ratner has been published numerous times, including Quantum Mechanics in Chemistry, Introduction to Quantum Mechanics in Chemistry, Nanotechnology: A Gentle Introduction to the Next Big Idea, and Homeland Security. As of present, Dr. Ratner is married with two children and two grandsons. Dr. Ratner formally retired in 2016. When he isn’t fly fishing, Dr. Ratner still works out of his office at Northwestern University with a research group.
