Empire Broadcasting Group Presents Roberta C. Pevear
The Honorable Roberta C. Pevear (retired) will be a guest of Empire Broadcasting Group on November 28th, 2016. A graduate of Gould Academy, Pevear worked in business administration and law for over three decades before serving the state of New Hampshire as a representative. Now retired, Ms. Pevear turned her efforts to the arts, specifically writing and filmmaking.
Ms. Pevear is co-author of the book “Write Quick: War and A Woman’s Life in Letters 1835-1867”. The book is a non-fiction depiction of the life of a Union woman during the Civil War. The book contains transcriptions of letters that were written to Roberta’s great-grandmother Eliza Bean Foster. These letters were written to Eliza by Andrew Beane, her brother, and her husband, Henry Foster. The book has been honored with places in the State House library in New Hampshire and the Daughters of the American Revolution Library in Washington D.C.
