Professionals Radio Network Welcomes Back Author, Dr. Tom Vosburgh from Rockford, IL

On Friday, March 25, 2016 at noon CST, Professionals Radio Network is proud to introduce author, Tom Vosburgh.  Mr. Vosburgh will be discussing his recently published book’ “The Bible, What You May Think It Says, But Doesn’t.”  He will discuss the misuse and abuse of the Bible by Christians by exposing misleading clichés and distortions about the Bible.. He presents a fresh look at the Bible and will discuss:

If the Bible never claims to be the Word of God, then what is it?

  • Did Jesus see himself as God?
  • Finally, the answer to unanswered prayer.
  • Misreading the Bible can turn the words of the Bible into the words of the Devil
  • Why Christmas and the Virgin birth are missing in two Gospels and in all of the letters.
  • Misreading  the Creation story creates an unnecessary fight about evolution
  • What Jesus would likely say to the church today and the likely outcome.
  • Are some preachers or churches trashing the Bible for self-serving reasons.?
  • Where intellectual honesty about the Bible confronts magical thinking?
  • How our cultural religiosity sucks the Bible empty of its power.

This book doesn’t speak for Jesus, but it initiates a whole new dialogue about what the Bible actually says.

In part, the author believes that he had a divine revelation about Jesus.  Agree or not, but get into the dialogue.
